I'm a reader and buyer of books who can't stop doing either. Not that I would want to. My tastes are pretty eclectic. I tend to read quite a lot of fantasy and science fiction, love travel writing, supernatural stories, historicals as opposed to historical romances (though I'm not averse to those either), some classic and modern literature and the odd trashy romance. Favourite authors include Anne McCaffrey, Patricia Briggs, Lynn Flewelling, Terry Pratchett, Robin Hobb, Sheri S. Tepper, Ursula Le Guin, Diana Norman, Jane Austen and Georgette Heyer. 2006: I successfully completed the 50 book challenge I set myself, ending with a total of 64.

my total books read was 70. I made a stab at an unofficial chunkster challenge and read 6 of the 12 books I picked out.

I once again read 64 books.

Number of books read in 2009 was 76. I also completed the 'Support Your Local Library' challenge and read 25 books for it.

I read 60 books this year and completed the Terry Pratchett challenge.

I read 83 books and completed several challenges, including a Foodie and various sci-fi and fantasy ones.

I read 63 books this year.
